Hello my name is Don Wilcox and I'm the CEO of SunTzu Mobile and Several other Corporations. We understand the needs of Developers and Companys like ours in having the ability to provide many different types of applications for the consumer. That also means applications that are similar. Applications that have similarity may not always have the same features or functions. We are preparing to launch the SunTzuMobile.com retail webstore in January that will allow Developers to sell "Any" App they wish. We are going to create an enviroment that will attract Iphone-Nokia-Samsung and Blackberry Customers, a "One Stop Shop" for Mobile Devices. We would really appreciate the opportunity to sell you apps at the SunTzuMobile.com Web-store. Please feel free to Contact me at anytime to discuss the possibilities. Happy Holidays!

Sincerly,
Don Wilcox

My *dictionary* app was just rejected from the app store (in the Reference category) for the same reason: I had words in the dictionary that were found objectionable. It's very weird, since there are apps similar to mine with the same words, which were accepted. So I support your effort to get a more practical and fair system in place for rating apps! I believe Webster's expensive dictionary apps, for instance, also violate the license, if my case is any precedent.

Best of luck to you!

Many people above have made excellent points with which I agree. Apple, what you're doing is illogical, arbitrary, and backwards.

Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content

or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.),

or other content or materials that in Apple’s reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users.

They should really have sorted out their punctuation, as they appear to have banned "materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.)" from appearing in their apps.

Also the "content or materials that in Apple’s reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users." clause is just stupid as it covers all possible content anyway.

It basically states; we will ban anything where we rationally think that there is a possibility that someone else could think that it is objectionable.

There is no clause requiring that the thing actually has been found objectionable, just that the possibility exists that a customer at any point may find it objectionable.

And you can always find someone who *may* find *anything* objectionable.
